Motion & Creative Photography

 

Introduction

The Motion & Creative Photography course is an action packed programme which was designed to inspire creative imagery.

During the course students explore practical and theoretical aspects surrounding the subject matter and are able to complete the course on a full time or part time basis. Various tips, tricks and techniques are dealt with.

The course furthermore aims to add high quality images to the student's portfolio.

DURATION
• 4 sessions of +-2 hours per session

ASSESSMENT
• To ensure that you master the course material, you will be required to complete various assignments.
• Assignments are marked and returned to students with feedback.
• Assignments are evaluated and a Proficiency Certificate is awarded if a pass mark of 75% is achieved7.

After successful completion of the course, a student is expected to be able to:
• Photograph and create a cartoon strip.
• Shoot and create a cinemagraph.
• Do HDR Photography.
• Do Time Lapse Photography.
• Paint with Light.
• Do strobe photography.

COURSE FEE
• The course fee per person is R 2 780 (if all fees are settled before course commencement).

PAYMENT TERMS
• The full course fee can be paid on registration, or
• A R 1 000 deposit can be paid on registration and the balance is payable the day before the course commences.

PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Students are required to know how to use a Digital SLR camera in the manual mode and have completed the Photoshop CC course or be proficient in using Adobe Photoshop.
• The course is presented in English and students are required to have a good command of the language to engage in classes.
• Basic computer literacy is required.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE
• Any brand of Digital SLR camera with an 18-55mm lens as a minimum requirement.
• Your camera must be able to capture video.
• If your camera does not support a "interval timer" function for capturing time-lapse images, you need to have Triggertrap (please contact us for details).
• A tripod is necessary to use for assignments and during some of the practical training sessions.
• External flash with strobe function.
• Photoshop CC software, installed on your computer is required. (you can download a free trial version from adobe.com to use during the course before you decide to purchase).
• A notebook computer to use in class.
